What is Urania?

The Principality of Urania began in December of 2018 when our founder, Princess George I, made the "Uranian Declaration". She recognised a very serious problem in the world: less than 8% of LGBT+ people, globally, live in a state where they have full legal equality. As gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and other members of our community wake up each day rejected by their family, their society, and their government, they have nowhere to turn. Urania presents the solution. 

We are the LGBT+ micronation. A state the promises LGBT+ an automatic birthright to citizenship, a global right of return for those from gender or sexual minorities. Our aim is to promote LGBT+ causes, issues, and ultimately statehood.
